Terrific Tuesday The Typewriter (a concerto for orchestra and solo typewriter)

In grade 3 I was in the rhythm band at Prince Charles School in Windsor.  I had the extraordinary privilege of playing the bird whistle.  It had water in it and when you blew in the bird's tail it tweeted like a bird.  It was a bit of a damp job.

Now the star of this piece plays a very different instrument too.
I wonder what great sounds he could get from a bird whistle.

However, when our kids were young we went to see the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) Orchestra.  They were amazing.  They played the Typewriter for Orchestra by the American composer, Leroy Anderson.
The talented fellow at the typewriter was as entertaining as this guy.

Magnificent Monday - An Ode to ETS Singers - Star (Smash Mouth cover)

As we approach our 10th anniversary as the Embro Thistle Singers, this song is so appropriate. We have wonderfully dedicated singers and our amazing Kristy. This is a group who is willing to learn and explore music that is challenging. They are truly ALL STARS!!
